​The State Board of Elections made the unanimous decision on Sunday, August 5, to support the Durham plan that has six Early Voting sites and includes Early Voting on Sunday.



Check your voter registration today by going to https://vt.ncsbe.gov/RegLkup/.  
Voter Registration books close on Friday, October 12.  After that time, you need to vote early to register and vote on the same day.

EARLY VOTING INFORMATION

Early Voting in Durham County begins on Wednesday, October 17, and ends at 1 pm on Saturday, November 3. 
Following the new law passed by the legislature, all early voting locations must be open from 7 am to 7 pm on Mondays through Fridays.  
The Early Voting Sites in Durham County are:

  • Durham County Board of Elections at 201 N. Roxboro St.
  • The South Regional Library at 4505 S. Alston Ave.
  • The East Regional Library at 221 Lick Creek Lane
  • The North Regional Library at 221 Milton Road
  • NC Central University at the Turner Law Building
  • Duke University at the Brodhead Center.

During early voting, people can register to vote and vote on the same day. Bring some proof of residence like up-to-date driver's license, a utility bill, a student photo id with address, or government photo ID.
